Jeremiah was called by God to go down to the potter‘s house to observe the process of pottery making. Upon completion, wherein the potter had to start over the process because there was a flaw in the clay. God inquired of Jeremiah, could He not do the same with Israel if they were to come to repentance? God desires to change flawed sinful humanity by placing us on His wheel and reshape us into that which is pleasing to Him.
And they said, There is no hope: but we will walk after our own devices, and we will every one do the imagination of his evil heart.
