Paul the apostle encourages all not to think they have reached their maturity in Christ. He speaks of his own continuous growth and need to keep pressing and reaching and trying to lay hold to that which he longs for. We too should never become discouraged in seeking to reach the finish line it may appear to keep moving but each round of life brings us closer.
And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
